Josie Emmons Turner’s book More Blue was published by Cave Moon Press in 2025. Her work has appeared in many publications including: Art Access, “Examined Life: A Western Washington Poets Network Anthology”, The Madrona Project: Empty Bowl Cookbook, The Madrona Project: Art in the Public Voice, Olympic Poetry Network’s Let It Burn, Let It Float, High Shelf Press, Windblown, Now That You Are Gone from This World, Floating Bridge Review, Collateral, and California Quarterly. In 2011, she was honored to be named Tacoma Poet Laureate and served in that post 2011 – 2013. She is a retired arts administrator and educator, and lives in Gig Harbor, Washington with her little champion Bichon Frise, Gabbie.
